We will also encouraging civic obligation to be responsible pet owners and demonstrating respect for others, both animal and human.

About the Critter Crew

The Critter Crew is the group of volunteers working to support and enhance the Tulare County Animal Shelter. The volunteer will serve as the arm that reaches into the community to help unwanted animals and bring attention to their plight. The volunteers will perform all of the services that are practical and necessary in the support of the County’s program. We can best do this by showing the staff our appreciation for their courage, dedication and compassion. Most of us would not be able to do what they do every day. Let us all celebrate and take pride in our meaningful efforts and accomplishments.

Goals of the Critter Crew Volunteer
1. Focus on public safety (vaccinations, dog bites, etc) and encourage community involvement.
2. Direct education and awareness programs on the overpopulation problem by teaching the importance of spaying and neutering and responsible pet ownership (licensing, leash laws, care, etc.).
3. Aggressively promote adoptions.
4. Assist the shelter staff in providing quality care for all animals

Often people who care about the plight of homeless animals are overwhelmed by the enormity of the problem. And it’s true that one person cannot save them all; but if you can make a difference in the life of even one animal, your contribution is invaluable.
